How to Finally Break Free of Your Patterns

Greetings Divine child —
If you've read any of my previous material, you know that your frequencies create your reality. So, if you want to change your reality, you need to change your frequencies. But before you can do that, you must first become aware of them, because you can't consciously change something you're not conscious of.
How to Become Aware of Your Frequencies
Look at your patterns — the cycles you find yourself repeating without knowing why or how to stop. Ask yourself: What keeps happening to me — or what do I keep doing — that I do not like? While it may appear that these patterns are the result of external forces (the expectations of society, the circumstances into which you were born, the actions of other people) they are actually a result of your co-creation. You must take responsibility for your life in order to change it. If that sounds like a tall order, read my blog post about how forgiveness can set you free.
How to Identify Your Patterns
The easiest way to identify the patterns that don't serve you is to listen to yourself complain. What bothers you? What keeps happening that you don't like? What makes you angry? What hurts your feelings? What frustrates you? Your answers will begin to reveal the patterns that do not serve you.
Take a few breaths and then finish this sentence: "I don't like it when ..."
Here are some examples:
I don't like it when my boss talks down to me.
I don't like it when my kid ignores me.
I don't like it when I eat too much junk food.
For now, just focus on the action. What action — whether yours or someone else's — bothers you?
The Purpose of Your Patterns
Now, fill in both blanks: "I don't like it when ... because it makes me feel ..."
I don't like it when my boss talks down to me because it makes me feel stupid and small.
I don't like it when my kid ignores me because it makes me feel hurt and angry.
I don't like it when I eat too much junk food because it makes me feel gross and ashamed.
Filling in the "because" statement is crucial. Why? Because it exposes why you keep creating these patterns. It exposes the emotional vibration at the center of the experience.
It all comes back to frequency. If you're resonating out the frequencies of the feelings listed in the examples above — stupid, small, hurt, angry, gross, ashamed — you will continue to attract experiences that cause those feelings.
Your frequency is what you must change. To learn exactly how to do that, read my recent blog post, "7 Steps to Change Your Frequency."
Once you've identified the emotional vibrations that are keeping you stuck in these patterns, you will begin to understand the bigger picture. More often than not, there's a lesson woven into these experiences. A lesson that, if learned and implemented, will help you evolve. Perhaps the difficult boss is there to teach you how to stand up for yourself. Perhaps the hurtful child is an echo of your own childhood neglect you need to heal. Perhaps the habit of overeating is a test of self-love.
You are here to evolve. This life is like a game, and the game is just an experience built on programs. And you can change your experience by changing the programs (your frequencies), if you so choose.
How to Break Your Pattern
Let me use an example.
When Lily was a child, she would lie to protect herself from physical harm. This created a pattern of lying that carried over into adulthood, even though the threat of physical harm no longer loomed over her. When she finally became aware of this pattern, she took responsibility of her co-creation and worked to change her frequency. The frequency she was transmitting was one of fear — she was still afraid of getting hurt. So, she did the work. She felt through the fear, focusing on the sensation until it lessened and then all but disappeared. As she did this, her actions began to change. When she caught herself lying, she would stop mid-sentence and change her words to reflect the truth instead. And it was easy! The more she did this, the less she lied. And eventually, the pattern was broken. And through this experience, she learned how to break free from fear, not just in this context, but in other areas of her life too.
The process is: Enlightenment (becoming aware of the pattern and the lesson) + Empowerment (doing the work, feeling the sensations, and rewriting the program) = Evolution
Only you can do the work to change your life. Be honest with yourself by quieting the ego mind and really listening to what it is you need to know in order to change your patterns. I suggest keeping a journal to track your progress. Note what bothers you now, commit to doing the work, explore the lesson, and then see how your life changes. Remember, you are a powerful creator.
