The 2nd Step to Self-Empowerment: Declare Your Desires

Updated: Jan 24

Greetings Divine child —

I have a very important message for you today: It is time to use your voice.

Whether you are speaking to another, to the Universe, or to yourself, your voice is one of your most powerful tools of creation. It is how you declare what you want. And the way you say it — the way you feel when you say it — reveals the truth behind your words. Do you believe you are worthy of that which you want? Do you genuinely want what you say you want? If uncomfortable emotions arise when you declare your desires, you know you have some work to do. But once you know what it is you truly want in this life — freedom, love, joy, abundance, respect, etc. — it is time to speak your truth.

Often, the greatest issues arise when others claim to know what we want (or what they think we should want). This can take the form of societal expectations, parental ideologies, or peer pressure. When you yourself don’t know what you truly want, these issues are compounded by self-doubt and lack of self-understanding, and you will most likely end up living someone else’s version of your life. That is why it’s vital for you to take the time to commune with your true-self and employ your intuition to really, truly figure out what you desire.

Sometimes, you might know exactly what you want, but you are afraid to say it out loud. Maybe this is because you’re afraid of being judged, or abandoned, or laughed at. Or maybe you just don’t want to rock the boat. If you fear conflict, know that there are ways to work through conflict without confronting others. If this sounds impossible, allow me to explain.

Because the Law of Attraction (LOA) is always working, we know that our realities are our own creations. The vibrational frequencies you emit to the universe come back to you in your experiences. What you send out, you get back in return. So, if you are emitting the frequency of feeling hurt, you will attract experiences that cause you to feel hurt. But it works with positive emotions the same way it works with negative emotions; that’s the beauty of LOA. Once you understand it, you can use it to your advantage. But in order to do that, you must change your frequency.

When you truly know what you want, it is time to declare those desires. Start by declaring them to yourself. See how you feel. Do you feel scared? Worried? Ridiculous? If certain emotional triggers arise when you say what you want out loud, you know you need to do some inner healing by feeling through your feelings. This will take time, but it is an essential part of the self-empowerment process. If you declare a desire you don't believe in, it won't manifest.

When you feel confident declaring your desires to yourself, try declaring them to a trusted friend, family member, or counselor. How does that feel? If new emotional triggers emerge, do the work. You got this! The more time and energy you dedicate to this process, the easier it will become.

The more aligned you are with your desires, the easier it will be to speak your truth and declare what you want in your daily life. Remember that you are worthy of all that you desire. But in order to get what you want, you must believe you can.

Remember who you are — you are Divine Love.
